2018 has been quite the timeline in terms of rap. With the exception of few, it seems like everyone has released a project this year. However, it is only the beginning of November. There is still plenty of time for more projects to dropped. Here are a few to keep on your radar...

DiCaprio 2 - J.I.D (November 26)

Dreamville's J.I.D is set to release the sequel to his 2015 E.P. DiCaprio within weeks. The 2018 XXL Freshman released two tracks of the upcoming project in the last two months. The lead single "151 Rum" has the rapper spitting boasting flows. Over a screeching, grimy instrumental with booming bass hits behind it, he raps about his lifestyle before fame. Following that, J.I.D scores J. Cole for a feature on "Off Deez", where the two cantillate sporadically. These two tracks alone have sparked enough interest in the hype of his project.

TBA - Offset (December 14)

Migos has had their fingerprints all over the place this year. The successful trio released their group album Culture II back in January. Since then, they have teamed up with Drake for a world tour, tallied up a few more hits, and much more. To add to that collection, each member plans to drop a solo album away from the group. Quavo and Takeoff have already shared theirs, leaving Offset the last one. It will be interesting to hear how he sounds without the other two's assistance, as lately he has been doin more features alone. In due time, fans will finally be able to tell which Migo sounds the best solo.

Skins - XXXTENTACION (December 7)

Following the release of ?, the late XXXTENTACION teased a successor to the album title Skins. Unfortunately, the artist was fatally gunned down in June but his management team and family have decided to continue to put forth his music. The posthumous project is set to be 10 tracks at 17 minutes long. X has always been now for his versatility, as his last two official albums have been used to coupe with emotions. This will most likely follow the same theme. "BAD", the lead single, was set out to the public to initiate the album's process.

Dummy Boy - 6ix9ine (November 23)

Like it or not, 6ix9ine is musically killing it this year. The 22 year old is constantly on the "Billboard Top 100"every time he puts out a new song. Though his life outside the studio is controversial, there's no denying his status musically. 6ix9ine knows how to get his name out there, even though most times it's through trolling, and it causes more traction and attention towards his work. Plus, after hearing the snippet of the song featuring Tory Lane produced by the legend Scott Storch himself, consider me sold.

The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story - Jaden Smith (November 17)

Smith's debut project Syre made tremendous waves, especially with his hit "Icon." It's impressive to see how someone like him can start off this dominant. With a few songs already dropped, his second album looks promising. Smith has a knack for blending soothing sounds and shaking raps together fair well, so we can only assume that The Sunset Tapes will continue that.
